Mini-Reunion - October 2008
Boomer Brats at Arlington National Military Cemetery
Sam, Flip, Don, and Tom met up for an afternoon of paying respects to departed family and friends who are interred at Arlington. This was also a mini-reunion to bid "hasta la vista" to Sam who moved to Europe. After spending time in the cemetery visiting graves and placing flowers at the sites, we took a short tour of Fort Myer's Caisson Platoon where the horses, tack, and caissons for the funerals are stabled and maintains. We then adjourned to a local seafood tavern to enjoy some crab cakes and to hoist a few to departed loved ones and friends.
